Tee Grizzley Gives Self-Reflection Of Detroit Tales On Still My Moment

On November Ninth, Tee Grizzley stormed the internet with his latest project. The cuts on this album deals with the rapper going deeper into his story. Being a person that is from rags to riches. He showcased this on his first big break-out single, First Day out. Recording this down the street from Persian high school, located on seven mile. Tee was showing coming from prison to driving the latest cars and flooded Cartier glasses. Tee has always been a rapper that stands on his self-confidence, embracing a larger than life character. Tee Grizzley is a miracle coming out the gates of Detroit, considering most will not make it out alive on the grit dealing with a dangerous come-up. Tee Grizzly gives us more on this mix tape, after coming off of three club hit records.

Tee Grizzley is not pretending in his music, my favorite cuts off the album were; Pray For The Drip, Babies To Men, and Keep The Rest. Keep The Rest is Tee Grizzley going off, telling his fans he wants to bring the rap game to it knees. Over a trap beat that hits with a lot of bounce in between rhythms, leaving a different sound from most Detroit rappers. His production almost sound like an alteration of Metro Booming but catered for a Detroit artist. Tee also tells his fans he believes in the constitution and the right to bare fire arms.  This is a perfect climate to drop lines like this. Why ? Because of the recent elections for our Governor that is taking place. Tee explains to us that he still has haters, most of them where people that he used to be in his past life or want to be in his current life. Most of all, Tee Grizzley does not crack, he strengthens his elements of who he is and dominates.

Babies To Men is very introspective of a person coming out of his community in Detroit. He explains going to school having to get into fights. Him and his friends getting expelled then entering into the darker side of life. His OG’s taught him how to be the men he is in a city we’re the hearts is cold like the winter. Since a rug-rat he always was troubled, stealing bikes and pulling woman in the hallway’s. As he grew as a man he realized the system and the world is against him. Wearing his uncle clothes and always wanting more, he is a person that kills for his gang and hustles. He details his story and how people around him died or incarcerated. This cut was produced by producer Helluva, being a producer from Detroit, he has done many famous cuts for people like Stretch Money and Doughboyz Cashout.

Pray For The Drip may be another single that is going to take off for the rapper, Tee Grizzley. Tee still embraces a more street-poetic mindset, being uplifting from the struggle. He looked in the sky during the times of downfall, praying for the drip. Having an influence from Southern sounds, he called for the help of Offset. Offset does his usual thing, snapping so hard with his signature flow pattern and ad-libs. Bringing more into the rappers arsenal in his records. Giving his Detroit fans another style and appeal while keeping his realer than life attitude.

This project has many features and much experimentation from the Detroit artist. He is a person that stays true to his cities sound. I believe the rapper is branching off into another sound, expanding his empire. Detroit is seeing much success in the scene, and Tee still holds the forefront of this movement with his latest project. Tee still shows us that he is down to earth while growing even larger. Tee shows every person that is going through economic hard-ship that if you struggled, you can overcome and be the next successful leader.
