Bubblerap Smokes The World Out With Her Neo-Soul Intoxication

Bubblerap is an artist that hails from London. She garnered an audience in music after releasing songs that gave the internet a frenzy. Her sound is a mix of lo-fi with the skeletal body of Erykah Badu and Curtis Mayfield. I would put her music in a realm where Aquemini and Common’s Like Water For Chocolate had a baby then birthed her creations. Sprinkled in lo-fi mixes that would make a smoked out college dorm seem like heaven between two lovers. Bubblerap music is for the backdrop of a person that does not want to deal with useless rumination between partners. They simply want to enjoy a natural gift the universe has brought them together to enjoy: relaxing in a bed of Daffodils watching clouds pass them by.

The song that caught my attention of this artist was the song, “Other Side Of The Game”. The song remixes Erykahs Badu song, “Other Side Of The Game”. There are still noteable differences that separates her from contemporaries. With her Reverb soaked vocals that creates a vibe giving you imagery of water drops. Making a romantic condensation forming on your window seal. Her producer Eun makes sure to bring the elements of her vibe full circle. The slowed down production enunciating the keys played in the original sample, did this track justice. You can check the song out below and follow her on Instagram at demaemae.
