Artist In Royal Oak Got Arrested For Painting

Muralist Carl Oxley decided to spruce up a railroad duct in downtown royal oak. Having been abandoned and not being looked after. He took his painting talents and spruce up things a bit in his community. He got arrested for not going through the process that city council requires for murals to be decorated on the side of buildings. They described it as, “Not liking the color of someone’s fence and changing the color of it.” People in his community  was outraged when they found out he got a misdemeanor charge for something the city that has not been looked after in years. It was depressing to see. So he let his paint brush free.

He does not want to see a community go to waste. The man that was a paint brushing hero gave life to many people. The life of his art got him a gig to do a painting on a woman’s garage, he received three-hundred dollars for the painting. People started leaving decorations of their own on his mural. The outrage caused a far cry, making more support for this artist work. I think people just want something positive out of a negative. That what makes a motivating force, especially when it is done out of the positive outlook on someone else’s time and life.
